"The Incredible Life and
Work of Rembrandt" The author of this story writes and illustrates children's books, and doesn't do such a bad job either. To tell the truth, there are writers a lot worse, not to mention illustrators! She got the idea to write about my life and art -- a long, long time ago I was a great painter. She also had the idea to add illustrations. The book is based on one of my self-portraits; in other words, on a painting I did of myself when I didn't have anyone else to paint. She did so it would be more fun for a little boy or girl like yourself to learn about me. Compare my self-portrait with the "character" she designed. Not bad, huh? OK now, let's start at the beginning. My name is Rembrandt. NOTE: How do you think the rest of the story will go? |
